Physics-Based Combat Demo

Final year project · Unity

Physics is underused in hand-to-hand combat systems — most games fake the impact. This demo tests the alternative: a sword-combat encounter where swing force is calculated from real classical-mechanics formulas, so how you move the weapon is what determines how hard it hits.

Started as a GMTK Game Jam 2026 entry — the team missed the deadline, but the concept was strong enough to keep building. Now in active development. I lead gameplay systems and UI implementation, with input into asset integration and design decisions.

Forensics Training Tool

University of Portsmouth collaborative project

A cross-discipline training simulation built with a wider student team. I built the core player-movement system and the object pick-up/storage mechanics, and supported debugging and data management for interactable evidence items.

About

From Norfolk, building for anywhere real-time 3D happens.

I'm a real-time 3D developer with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Games Technology from the University of Portsmouth, specialising in gameplay programming in Unreal Engine 5 and Unity. I've got hands-on experience across XR/VR, UI programming and systems design — and I care more about how something plays than how it's marketed.

Based in Norfolk, open to Cambridge and Portsmouth. Interested in games studios first, but equally in defence simulation, training/XR, and virtual production — anywhere real-time engines are doing serious work.
